Having the experts come and do a session about how to take care of your pet is definitely a great idea! Taking care of a pet is hard work and a lot of times people that are taking care of their first pet don’t know what they’re getting themselves into. This is probably a big reason why some pets end up at the shelter/Humane Society. Their owners took on a pet that they weren’t ready for and end up giving them up for adoption. These animals are the ones that need our help the most. I wouldn’t get a dog from anywhere else but the adoption center. But before I did that, I wouldn’t mind taking part in a session like the Animal Care Council is doing.
